It's most certainly not a bug in kate. And if it is a hardware problem, it can not be a bug in KDE. If this issue is related to any specific kde application, please file a report for that application. Ahem. Reopening, reassigning... how is this an application bug? Looks like you are having hardware problems I don't think so. The Canoncable runs fine with WinXP. With Digikam it doesn't. I would put that down to some communication software problem. I don't know, however, whether this really is connected with Digikam or gphoto2 or some larger USB connection problem (SuSE 9.2 with 2.6.8-24.11 Kernel here). It seems an other occurrence of the libgphoto bug report "snd_xxxx.wav files not found (canon driver)" I submitted some time ago. http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1096458&group_id=8874&atid=108874 I don't have the full logfiles any more, but I seem to remember I could get AVIs only via the PTP driver too |
