Version: 1.4 (using KDE 3.3.0, SuSE)

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.4-52-default

It would be great to have a toolbar in Knode in which the user could define commands.

For example you could have buttons for "ls -al", "make", or other often used commands.

This is especially useful if you use Konsole with other programs.

In my case I use a texteditor for program-files and then type "make" (or up-enter) in Konsole. This means I have to use the mouse to switch to Konsole then switch to the keyboard, then go back to the mouse.

With a toolbar, I could do everything with the mouse.

I suggest using Alt-Tab to switch to Konsole and then Alt-Tab again to switch back to Kate.

An alternative would be to use a text editor which has an embedded terminal (such as Kate). You could then define a keyboard shortcut to switch to the terminal.

I am very hesitant to add a toolbar to Konsole. Konsole is a command-line program which is all about keyboard entry.

I think what you are asking for calls for a separate tool.
