Hi Ron, I tested it with 10000 contacts and it works fine (ok, it took a while ;)). Make sure you hadn't entered something in the search line edit, because this reduces the number of visible/exported contacts. I reviewed my export process, and I did not have anything in the "search" line. What I did find out is that when I opened the file that I had exported (addressbook.csv) in both the Gnumeric and Open Office spreadsheets, when the 74th person had been parsed and entered into a row per person with the data inn the proper cells of those rows, then the data of multiple people were being put into each cell of the 75th row instead of the different fields of the 75th person being put into the proper cells of the 75th row, then moving to a new row for the next person. Strange how it worked for 74 rows (people) then faulted. I think the data is being exported, but something in the file that confuses the parsing when the file is opening. I guess now the process is to determine if it was the fault of the export function or the fault of the spreadsheet programs in opening a .cvs file. If you have any thoughts, please pass them on. Otherwise, thank you very much. Ron The development of the old KAddressBook will be discontinued for KDE 4.4. Since the new application has the same name, but a completly new code base we close all bug reports against the old version and ask the submitters to resend there reports against the new product. |
