Description bruce.lilly 2004-11-20 21:49:49 UTC
Version: 1.7.1 (using KDE 3.3.1, SuSE)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.5-7.111-default

When hovering the cursor over an IMAP scheme URI in a message text body, or when clicking on such a URI, Kmail misinterprets the URI as if it were a mailto scheme URI.

Kmail ought to correctly interpret URI schemes.

Ideally, Kmail should follow an IMAP URI scheme by opening (in a new window) the referenced server and folder or message.

I can still reproduce that using KMail from KDE 4.1.1.

Here's a sample IMAP URI you can use for testing it:
imap://joe@example.com/INBOX/;uid=20/;section=1.2;urlauth=submit+fred:internal:91354a473744909de610943775f92038

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
