In order to not use a full-quote one has to delete parts of the original email when answering. However, in order to indicate that one cut something one should replace it by [...]. To facilitate this it should be possible to select the text to be deleted, hit some shortcut and replace thereby the selection with [..]. Maybe even a blank line before an after.

That should be solved by textblocks, i.e. you simply define a textblock with "[...]" (and possibly some blank lines). Therefore I mark it as duplicate.
