Description Andrey Cherepanov 2004-11-12 15:01:05 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.1)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: egcs-2.96
OS: Linux

There is annoying bug in the kdeprint. When I print some text in variable font (ex. web-page from konqueror), symbols are overlapped. Example attachments are below. Monospace fonts are printed OK. Any other text in variable font from OpenOffice are printed OK too.

The problem is not in kdeprint because it is not responsible for the print content. If this is application-specific, you should report the problem to the application developer. For the time being, I'll redirect the bug to generic KDE problems.

Michael.

The quality of the PS generated by the application on printing request is not controlled (or controllable by KDEPrint). Hopefully, with new PS generator in Qt4, these quality problems will dissapear anyways.
