Description Alejandro Sánchez Acosta 2004-10-22 13:43:09 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.1)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
OS: Linux

The default KListView/QListView used in a lot of kde applications (kopete/kmail/etc) shows awful with the default style.

It would be nice that the default style when you do:
setRootIsDecorated(true) would be a better and candy style like in digikam albumfolderview.

A screenshot of the future default style can be something like:
http://digikam.sourceforge.net/Digikam-SPIP/IMG/png/theme-default.png

Of course the icons size would be smaller but the appearance of K/QListView would be enhanced.

Then every applications would have a nice style without having to hack in every application. I know you can modify the style in the style theme, but I think is not a good idea because there are a lot of styles that don't worry about it, so it would be better a new appearance for the default Q/KListView widgets.

actually (KDE4) the default style looks good on list view too. Do you think it is good too?

The list view rendering is done by Qt classes. If this bug is still visible
with Qt version 4.7, please report to Qt developers at Nokia via
