In addition to that: wish: handling of subdictionaries I would like digikam to have the possiblity to find pictures in subdictionaries in the albums of the album folder. I know that there is the virtual possibility to handle this via collections, but as the album-folders also represent the physical structure of the stored pictures and sometimes I would prefer to browse via konquerer through them, it would be nice if digikam would allow me have a more structured folder structure. BTW: I would be also nice to enhance the virtual organisation structure of digikam with the possibility to put single pictures in more then one "virtual" album. E.g. a picture could belong at the same time in the collection: friends and last party. Having such a virtual structure would allow to keep only one copy of the picture. (This was originally a wish postet via HELP-Report.. to sourceforge-list, but was reject by mailserver. Then I found out, that it is also possible to report here. So I just add here my comment, because at least partly the suggestion is simular) *** This bug has been confirmed by popular vote. *** Beyond the search, we should be able to select a folder and multiple tags. So if I select the folder "Vacation 2004" and Ctrl click the tags "good" and "friends", just the photos labeled good AND friends of the 2004 vacation should be displayed. All the operations, like exporting a HTML album, should work just in the filtered images. It would be a great feature for version 8.0. This wish is implemented and will be available in digiKam 0.8. Besides the quick search there will be an extended search. For both the query can be saved and can be accessed in a similar way as a folder or a tag. |
