*** This bug has been confirmed by popular vote. *** Is this feature in it's way to be added to konqueror or is it forgotten. This will be really a very usefull , instead of cancelling copying a hole list of files you just have to remove the unwanted file !! It's a great idea. download/ upload files online is more convinient and much comfortable as doing the same job locally. Often i want to copy a plenty of files and only a few of them makes errors. With a good tool everybody could work more efficient, i think. (excuse for the poor english - I'm still learning) It's a great idea. download/ upload files online is more convinient and much comfortable as doing the same job locally. Often i want to copy a plenty of files and only a few of them makes errors. With a good tool everybody could work more efficient, i think. I look forward to the next release (4.2.x or so), because my KGet in KDE 3.5 doesn't work correct. (excuse for the poor english - I'm still learning) This feature is now working since 4.2.0. Great job. Hello, I developing this soft in this target: http://ultracopier.first-world.info/ For the version 0.2.0.0 I'm porting the Qt part to KDE part for have 2 mode: Qt and KDE. It will out in next time I think. Help for port is useful (I'm beginner in KDE) And I will submit integrate it to KDE main line. Hey! I don't think it'd be useful to add local file copying to KGet. Overkill imho... I will close this as won't fix then, if anybody wants to write a transfer-plugin for local-file-copies, he's welcome of course. :) (In reply to comment #7) > Hey! > I don't think it'd be useful to add local file copying to KGet. Overkill > imho... you surely right Lukas. who cares to be able to pause a local copy or to reduce the I/O when transfering large files... anyway, I waited this non answer for 5 years now. > I will close this as won't fix then, if anybody wants to write a > transfer-plugin for local-file-copies, he's welcome of course. :) anyway(bis), Ultracopier was developped between this time, don't need kget anymore. http://ultracopier.first-world.info/ I'm sorry for you if you think it'd be useful, still if someone steps up and writes that plugin, I will surely support that... You can pause a local copy as well with normal KIO, don't you? Lukas I hope KDE implement the KIO control like, speed limitation, pause/play, ... |
