I don't know which applet you're talking about, but it isn't Quick Launcher. Quick Launcher is an applet with a bunch of application icons in it. I think you mean Application Launcher, which doesn't appear in the component field, so I'm reassigning this to kicker->general. urls and web shortcuts work just fine in the Application Launcher. math, case sensitivity, help... those remain to be implemented. *** Bug 90377 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Combine with "math expression evaluator" applet is a better solution. well, I would love to see the run dialogue's abillity's in the command prompt tool for the kicker... I don't miss much, its only the math for me, but that's really nice :D I'd like to know if: "command prompt tool"=="Application Launcher"==("Run Command" applet as it is in KDE 3.4.1) ? If so, I'd also like to add that, IMO, the Run Command *applet* should use the same widget for listing commands as the Run Command *dialog*. This should bring the following advantages to the Run Command *applet*: * math * (don't know if the following combination is implemented) removal of duplicates AND pushing the last executed command to the top I'd also really appreciate this feature request to be implemented! There are a few things to think about, e.g. how to integrate features like "Run in terminal" / "Run as different user". An idea could be to open the "big" "Run command" dialog by pressing a shortcut. While having such a powerful tool embedded inside the Application Launcher, it would make absolute sense to be able to access the Application Launcher via shortcut. Kicker is currently unmaintained, you can look to your distribution for help, however. |
