Description Christopher Neufeld 2004-09-02 01:11:53 UTC
Version: 1.4 (using KDE KDE 3.3.0)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc v3.2.2 Compiler compiled from sources
OS: Linux

When I attempt to create a new konsole, setting the schema from the command line, it comes out incorrectly. It appears, from looking at the atime on the schemas, that the konsole binary is reading both my supplied schema and one other, and that other is taking precedence. The resulting konsole, in the settings, claims to be using the schema I supplied, but is using another one. If I re-select the same schema, the konsole changes appearance to match the one I originally requested. Some schemas behave correctly, but the following ones do not:
GreenTint, GreenTint_MC, Transparent, Transparent_MC, Transparent_darkbg, Transparent_lightbg

So, for instance, typing "konsole --schema=GreenTint" produces a konsole window with Linux schema colours.

Related to BR83162? Seems like the same results...
Comment 2 Christopher Neufeld 2004-09-08 22:51:54 UTC
Yes, looks like the same bug. I found 83162 in my search, but thought it related specifically to the use of the notabbar switch, and didn't notice the later comment that the notabbar switch was unimportant, so I filed this as a separate bug.

Should be fixed when I did 83162. Reopen if not... KDE3.4.
