A lot of us live by e-mails.  I help run the DNS tld for Namibia, and we do all of our business by e-mail.   Its good to have the records from previous years around, (now over 1 Gigabyte)  but it would be nice to have a way of archiving/compressing old folders.  

I'm certain others would have similar needs.
