Description Alexey 2004-08-21 03:10:49 UTC
Version: 1.3.2 (using KDE KDE 3.2.3)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc 3.3.3
OS: Linux

While working in konsole with SSH
time after time (while switching from one server/system to another)
I need to change national encoding
from one code page to another (example cp1251 to cp866 or koi8-r).
How can I do it?
I think that for konsole need common mapping mechanism for translating
from assigned codepage (actual at server side) to main (native) codepage
(actual at client side). When I say 'client' I mean my workstation/computer
with defined normal localized fonts rendering in konsole.
And when I say 'server' I mean remote machine where default output
fonts defined by her rules...
