Component: generalAssignee: Konsole Developer <konsole-devel>
Status: RESOLVED NOT A BUG

Description Patrick Carabin 2004-07-19 15:33:23 UTC
Version: 1.3.2 (using KDE 3.2.3, (testing/unstable))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 (Debian 20040422)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.18-bf2.4

When typing the «Home» key it should go to the beginning of the line, like it did in the previous version of konsole. Instead of it, the screen FLASHES RED !
When typing the «End» key it should go to the end of the line, like it did in the previous version of konsole. Instead of it, the screen FLASHES RED !

It seems to be a recurring fault, occuring in several versions, then fixed, but FORGOTTEN when making the next version...

It's usually a termcap/terminfo mismatch.

"It's usually a termcap/terminfo mismatch."
Forgive me please if i don't understand well... Does this mean i can do something to it ( change some setting? ) OR that i have to wait till it is fixed?
TIA
Comment 3 Waldo Bastian 2004-08-03 13:31:00 UTC
I suggest to report it to Debian, I suspect they made a change to termcap/terminfo without adjusting konsole likewise.

Distribution related.
