Version:           1.0-beta5 "Pierre" (using KDE 3.2.3, Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.4.1 (Mandrakelinux (Cooker) 3.4.1-1mdk)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.7-2mdk

1. logging out of KDE with akregator running and a feed list open and saved
2. Logging in to KDE again but the feed list doesn't load. I can manually open it however.

Bug is still present in beta6 RPM for Mandrake Cooker.

This is most likely related (you could call it a duplicate) with http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84528.  
Could you check whether it makes a difference having the mainwin maximized or minimized before logout?
