Description Fernando Schapachnik 2004-06-11 14:58:21 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.3)
Installed from: FreeBSD Ports
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.4 20020320 [FreeBSD]
OS: FreeBSD

I was previously using KDE 3.1.x with no problem. Upgraded to KDE 3.2.2 (and then 3.2.3). Then, while using mutt (1.4.x), after a while the screen corrupts: only the upper half becomes visible and most keys do not respond. Ctrl-L does not work. Quiting and restarting mutt does. I haven't seen it happening with other apps, but I don't think I use that many curses-based others.

TERM is xterm.

I will try to attach a capture next time it happens. It's hard to describe.

If anything else is needed, please let me know.

Thanks!

Screen capture

The tar includes three captures:
-right.png: how the screen should look like (red areas are used to cover
confidential email information).
-error.png and error1.png: when the problem happens. Is like the terminal did
not properly refresh.

As additional information, it seems to happen only when using mutt in a multi tab konsole (even if dettached). Running it in a stand-alone konsole seems OK.

Can you try 3.3 (or even 3.4). mutt works fine here on 3.4, though I'm on Linux.

Yes, it works OK in 3.3.2 (on FreeBSD 5.3, at least). Thanks.
