kontact would add real value if it offered a way to synthesize, not just collect, all the information it covers. I'd like a journal or kjots-like app that could mix original date-stamped text with drag-n-drop hot links to emails, expired to-dos and appointments, and contacts. Something with more structure than knotes but less than karm.
