i'm using kvim-6.2.14 and kdevelop setup to use the "embedded vim component".  when i open a file, nothing happens.  kdevelop's editor area shows just grey.  it doesn't respond to any input or anything.  once i open a second file and kdevelop shows a tab for each file, switching between the two files get the vim component to work properly.

KDevelop doesn't maintain the vim-part and from what I hear, neither does the vim-part devs. They apparently gave up on it and are coding an new vim clone.
