Description Eberhard Fahle 2004-04-23 10:25:49 UTC
Version:           1.3.999 (using KDE 3.2 BRANCH >= 20040204, SuSE)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 (SuSE Linux)
OS:          Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-192-default

With the new version of KDE I installed, the radiobuttons for switching between the hex and decimal/binary etc. display of the value have been replaced by a combobox. This is VERY annoying! There are now two mouse-clicks needed to convert a number in the display. Additionally you have to move your eyes from the top left corner to the bottom right corner to verify that you selected the right mode because the combobox doesn't even display the current mode.

I understand that you want to keep the window-size of kcalc as small as possible, but on the other hand kcalc is just a small (but important) tool. In my opinion every option on a calculator should be selectable with no more than one mouse-click or keystroke. (excluding the mode (trigonometry,statistics etc.)

So I wish,
you would give me back my radio-buttons,
or if thats no possible ...
at least display the current display-mode on the combobox itself.

Thanks for reading
Eberhard
