Description Reuben Olinsky 2004-04-22 02:03:27 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.2)
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs
OS: Linux

In Kate's "Configure Kate" dialog (under 'Editor->Shortcuts') when I try to
associate a shortcut with Alt+Shift+LessThan (Alt+Shift+,), Kate recognizes
that key press as instead being Alt+Shift+GreaterThan (Alt+Shift+.).
This is annoying when trying to get emacs-like shortcuts for jumping to
the beginning or end of a document.

I've noticed this bug since 3.2, so I don't think it's new.

This works fine here, using a danish keyboard + basic danish keyboard layout.
My guess is that you have a keyboard misconfiguration of some sort, but it could be a bug in the KDE accellerator system.

It also works perfectly fine in kde 4.1.72 (svn trunk 885222) with a basic spanish keyboard layout.

Confirming for 4.4 rc1
I can make shortcuts with alt+shift+<letter>, but I can't make alt+shift+< it always assigns alt+<

I don't know if this is the same bug, but I cannot assign Alt+Shift+<number> to move a window in a specific desktop. Nothings happen.
