Hi,

I'm having the problem that juk does not play OGG-Files with ab Bitrate of 192kbps. OGG's with 128kbps/168kbps and all MP3's are playing.

In the playlist, juk shows the length of the track, when I want to play the file, juk shows '00:00' as length and stops playing (it even does not play the next file in playlist).

Hope it helps,
Matti

JuK actually doesn't handle playing files -- that's done by aRts / mpeglib (so this presumably isn't working with other aRts based players). That said it certainly does work with 192 KB/s files in many cases, so additional information would be helpful. Do these files play for you in non-aRts based players?

OK,

this is my fault. I ripped these OGG-Files on WindowsXP, and I could play them with WinAMP (it's on my new Laptop, when I had'nt installed Linux), but no player on Linux can play them, nor can I read the Infos with, e.g., AudioFile::Info in Perl.
So they seem to be corrupt.

Bye, Matti
