Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.1)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources

Related to (but not) bugs 77080 and 70147

A toolbar on the terminal window should provide $PWD sensitive functions:
Find - search from '.' down (shell command)
Grep - search files in '.' (or recurse) (shell command)
Tar - tar and gzip files in '.' (shell command)
Cut/copy/paste - files in . (target may be specified later) (built-in source data storage/ shell command when dest is specified)
Home - cd ~ (shell command)
Encrypt - GPG (if avail) file(s) (shell command?)
Mail - send file via email (???)

With the command lines echoed on the console, it should also serve as a learning tool for n00bs.

I would like first for konsole to have any tool bar - for the actions that are currently offered in the menus, such as search in history, send input and monitor for activity, then we can talk about adding shortcuts for common console commands (none of the ones you decribed, BTW, requires awareness of local directory).

Setting as WONTFIX for the same reasons as the other bug reports mentioned. I feel that this would add unnecessary clutter to the user interface, and that as a keyboard-orientated program, improvements in the navigation facilities offered by the shells themselves would be preferred to GUI controls in Konsole.
