Description Jonathan Rawle 2004-02-18 12:55:44 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.0)
Installed from: RedHat RPMs

If the "Monospace => Regular" font is selected in the Select Font window, the Monospace Bold font is displayed instead. The font appears identical whether bold or regular is chosen.

This appears to be the font used when Small, Medium, Large, etc. are selected, which means that the konsole font is bold and not very readable.

I think this may be a global KDE problem as fixed-width fonts also appear bold in Konqueror, but I'm not sure where to report it.

In addition, the line spacing in konsole is larger than in KDE 3.1, meaning that the window is larger for the same number of lines of text. It doesn't seem possible to choose a negative line spacing, but this would be useful.

This font can now be selected in KDE 3.2.x, but it is still rendered with wider line spacing. I've switched to a different font.
