Apparently AC_CHECK_HEADER(aspell.h) doesn't look in /usr/local/include
Does --with-extra-includes=/usr/local/include --with-extra-libs=/usr/local/lib help?
Or try replacing AC_CHECK_HEADER with KDE_CHECK_HEADER in koffice/lib/kospell/configure.in.in,
then run
make -f Makefile.cvs
./configure [...]
Tried configuring using those options (as noted in the original report) to no effect -- trying the second recommendation... After changing both AC_CHECK_HEADER with KDE_CHECK_HEADER and AC_CHECK_LIB with KDE_CHECK_LIB for aspell, then it works. Since my commit bit in CVS is b0rked, if you submit the change and close the bug report, it would be appreciated.
