Description Vincenzo Ciancia 2004-02-07 23:53:54 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.0)
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
OS: Linux

If you did not set your From: in the kcontrol preferences module, kalarm with default settings does not complain but attempts to send e-mails with empty "From:" resulting in e-mails lost due to antispam measures or so (and very unpolite generally speaking). Kmail usually complains, but not when messages are queued via kalarm.

I will change this so no emails will be sent if no 'From' address is set. A warning message will be displayed if no 'From' address is set, at the following times:
 * When an email alarm triggers.
 * When an email alarm is created or edited.
 * When the 'From' email address configuration is amended in the Preferences dialog.

Fixed in CVS for KDE 3.2.1
