Description Markus Wagner 2004-02-03 12:02:27 UTC
Version:           0.8.90, CVS >= 20040123 (using KDE KDE 3.2.0)
Installed from:    Gentoo Packages
Compiler:          gcc 3.3.2 20031218
OS:          Linux

When receiving a gpg encrypted message from a miranda (Win32) client I can decrypt it fine as long as there is no German Umlaut or ß. As soon as only a single one of those characters is in the message (äöüÄÖÜß), kopete doesn't display the message only says: XML document could not be parsed. The uses protocol is ICQ.

Although there are similar bugs, all related to some encoding stuff, I couldn't find this particular one, although it might be related.

It, by the way, doesn't happen between kopetes. And additionally, it doesn't make a difference what encoding I set at the per user preferences...

Without encryption it works fine

incorrect in bug report:
-Component should be Crypto plugin
-it is not a gentoo package, it is self built from CVS on a gentoo system

Platform changed upon request.

This SOUNDS like the XSL style sheet problem. Specifically that kopete/QT wasn't able to determine the correct charset to use when displaying this message.
