The indicator is actually from KMilo. You can turn it off in KControl->KDE components->Services manager, turn off the KMilo module. Then you'll be able to assign the shortcuts to KMix. I second this bug report. Especially when using a the Helix video player and you change the volume with the volume wheel on the keyboard, the volume indicator will obstruct the view of the video and the video will be just black where the indicator was until you move the player window. That's a bug in Helix player and will not be worked around in KDE. If your concern is kmilo's popup, either disable kmilo, or you'll have to wait until someone writes a new skin of a form that you prefer. *** Bug 74759 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Not sure what the value of leaving this open is...... Disable it if you don't like it, or write a new skin the way you think it should be and I'll consider including it. |
