In my opinion, KJots is much better as a note-taking component than Knotes. I find KNotes unusable and difficult to handle, especially due to their UI peculiarities.

In this regard, KJots is, IMHO, much better behaved and standardized. Additionally, the division into "books" and "pages" of KJots is more powerful and makes for better structuring of information.

So, I respectfully request the integration of KJots with Kontact and even, if deemed convenient, the replacement of Knotes with it.

i actually looked at the feasability of this for 3.4 and decided to wait for the next release. but it will happen. taking this over to kjots where i will be able to find it easier =)

Reassigning to KJots maintainer (according to the about page of KDE4). I guess this was forgotten when moving this bug report from Kontact to KJots. 

Also adding Aaron to the CC list.

SVN commit 810464 by skelly:

Add D-Bus interface to KJots, allowing the New Page and New Book actions to work when running in Kontact.

This squashes a four year old bug.
