Description Henning Bruhn 2004-01-18 06:42:58 UTC
Version: 1.1 (using KDE 3.1.94 (3.2 Beta 2), SuSE)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3 20030226 (prerelease) (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-4GB

kdvi shows the wrong embedded eps-picture in an dvi-file, under the following circumstances:
Assume there's a dvi-file 'file.dvi' in directory 'A' which contains an eps-picture 'pic.eps', also lying in 'A', and let there be a second directoy 'B', which contains a different eps-picture, also called 'pic.eps'. Then, starting kdvi in 'B' with
 B: kdvi /A/file.dvi
leads to kdvi showing the 'file.dvi' with the picture 'pic.eps' of 'B' and not of 'A'.

Dear Mr. Bruhn,

Thank you for your bug report! The problem that you describe (kdvi shows wrong picture after opening from different directory) has been fixed in the most recent version of KDE. The fix will be included in KDE 3.2.1.

Best,
