Description Dave Johnson 2004-01-14 06:52:15 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.94)
Installed from: Unspecified Linux
Compiler: gcc 3.3.2 stock Fedora Core 1 rpms
OS: Linux

Installed using the provided Fedora Core 1 rpms for kde 3.2 beta.

I had 6 tabs open in one konsole window, each tab running a ssh session to a different box. I used pico to edit /boot/grub/grub.conf on one of the tabs and then shutdown -r now to reboot it.

After which all the boxen rebooted and noticed later that all my grub.conf's on all six boxen were changed.

I figured it had to have been some freak accident and "Send Input to All Sessions" for the console window somehow got turned on. I never use the "all sessions" feature but I didnt really have time to dig into the issue further.

But the same thing happened again today when I upgraded to the 2.4.24 kernel. I had two tabs open and when I edited the grub.conf with pico the grub.conf on the other box was also changed.

I have not been able to consistantly reproduce this bug but it seems to be triggered when uw pico is used and I do alot of cutting and pasting using the ctrl-k and ctrl-u commands and arrow keys. The uw pico binary I use is copied from a RedHat 8 box, as Fedora does not ship with the pine package.
