Version:           1.1 (using KDE 3.1.94 (CVS >= 20031206), Gentoo)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.2.3 20030422 (Gentoo Linux 1.4 3.2.3-r3, propolice)
OS:          Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-gentoo-r8

Look at the bottom edge: The right is the main panel on screen 1, the right a
child panel on screen 2.

Go to the 'Hiding' Tab an tick the box that says "Allow other windows to cover the panel". Does that fix the problem?

I also use Xinerama and I have the same problem. I tried the tips and it worked but it is not very usefull as on two screen you have the place to show the tray.
