I deselected "allow moving and changing size of maximized windows" in the "move"-tab. When I now maximize a window, it's right and left borders disappear. But the upper and lower border are still there and waste space.The waste of screen space is most distinct with designs like MGBreizh and wood. But you can try it as well with the window decorations BII, ModSystem. The window grip between a maximized window and the Kicker looks ugly to me. And you'll find it useless because of the setting mentioned above.Hope, noone is offended!

It's up to the decoration to decide what and if it hides when maximized.

And if I don't agree with this behaviour, which chance do I have to change it? Which source file for example should I modify and recompile?If I knew C at all...

I was informed via email that this problem had been solved within the new KDE Version 3.2. On the other hand, there had come new problems; so that it is not necessarily a good choice, to upgrade KDE only to solve this window problem.
