Description Sean Lynch 2003-12-26 09:10:47 UTC
Version: unknown (using KDE 3.1.94 (CVS >= 20031206), compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 (Mandrake Linux 9.2 3.3.1-2mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.0

I've noticed that image loading on webpages in konq cvs is very rough on my system resources and takes alot longer than say firebird. One page that really shows this is http://comments.deviantart.com/emoticons. If I load this page in konq, my resources stay pegged at 100% for over a minute as they load (granted, there are a ton of images, but this just magnifies the problem). If you open the same page in firebird, my resources don't got over 30, and takes along less time to load.

I've loaded that page in Konqueror and not once did it hit 100%. 50% seems to have been the top (system under otherwise high use).

The page, however, takes a long time to load due to the number of images to download.

HEAD 20031222.

This is rather a duplicate of bug #72575 which is still not resolved (as opposed to #39693)
Comment 4 Dirk Mueller 2004-01-25 22:40:56 UTC
No, thats a different bug.
