Description Éric Brunet 2003-12-25 14:59:46 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.94)
Installed from: RedHat RPMs

I have configured kdm to give me a passwordless, automatic login of user ``eric''. Unfortunately, it doesn't work
and, after an error box, I have to enter my password.

It used to work very well in kde 3.1.4.

I can't find anything usefull in the logs.

kdmrc file available on http://perso.nerim.net/~tudia/bug-kde

I am using fedora packages on a redhat box.

Yep, that was it. Thank you for the answer. I am sorry to have reported a
duplicate; I tried to check, but the report wizard is not very helpful:
when you look at the suggestions for duplicate bugs, you have very old
bugs mixed together with newer ones: you can easily have bugs concerning
a 2.0 version of kde; what possible relevance could they have ? Most bugs
shown are either CLOSED or RESOLVED; doesn't the system know in which
version of kde the solution has been incorporated ? The only bugs that
should be proposed as duplicates should be the unresolved bugs or the
resolved bugs for which the fix is not present in the current version of
kde.

Well, anyway I am getting off-topic. Thank you again, and I'll try to be
more carefull.
