There has been no developer feedback on this bug since it was reported, and I am wondering if it has been investigated at all. I find I am affected by this bug often when using the spell checker, since similar words usually appear in the subject and body of a message. Thanks, Keith Keith, It is a voluntary project when someone feels inspired to write code, or there are a lot of votes for it it will get done. Maybe it is fixed in a more recent version and we haven't noticed yet. ;-) Actually it is still marked "unconfirmed", I guess that nothing has happened yet. It is not a big enough problem for me to try and solve it myself. I am sure that you will be welcome if you want to join in. I am *not* a developer myself and I really wouldn't know where to start. 8-( Peter Same behaviour in 3.5.5. I suspect it's related to the underlying spellchecker implementation from kdelibs. FWIW, in trunk it appears the spellchecker doesn't check the subject line at all (r837737), so this exact bug doesn't exist. Not sure if not checking the subject line is deliberate though In the KDE4 version, the subject is not spellchecked anymore (this function got lost in porting), so this bug is no longer valid. Feel free to open a wish to spellcheck the subject too, though. |
