Version:           1.2 post (using KDE 3.1.9)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.2.2
OS:          Linux (i686) release 2.4.22

when i paste some text in a file that was opened with mc (midnight commander) the konsole doesn't update the content until i press any key.

You talk about mcedit? Works for me. Try in xterm.
