Control Center -> KDE Components -> Session Manager

The default action here in the "After Logout" section is "Login as different user". If I select something else, like "Turn off computer" instead, then click "apply", all looks OK. If I quit Control Center and re-enter it, it still looks OK.

However, if I then log out via the K -> Logout menu, the system doesn't shut down, as the settings I just configured should do; instead, I'm dropped to the login screen.

Logging into KDE again and launching Control Center shows that the default action has somehow reverted to "Login as different user" again.

No matter how many times I try to change it to 'turn off computer', it always seems to revert to "login as different" when I log out of KDE.

fixed in HEAD. 
the last shutdown type is not saved at logout time any more, so the semantics 
should be clear now.
