The default medium font in konsole is ugly.  A screenshot can be found here (http://www.informatik.hu-berlin.de/~rosenfel/konsole-bug1.png).

Also, the custom font selection dialog only shows three possible choices, all of which are unsuitable for a terminal app (http://www.informatik.de/~rosenfel/konsole-bug2.png).

This makes it very hard to work with konsole.  The problem appeared a while ago at a dist-upgrade on Debian, maybe it was with the change to 3.1.2.
