Description Tom Wesley 2003-05-08 22:18:45 UTC
Version: 1.5.1 (using KDE 3.1.1)
Compiler: gcc version 3.2.2 20030322 (Gentoo Linux 1.4 3.2.2-r2)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-gentoo-r3

Couldn't see this reported anywhere...

When received inline forwards containing many /different/ HTML messages, clicking the link to render one parses and renders them all, rather than just the one that was clicked.

Tom, can you if possible attach an example message please?
Comment 2 Tom Wesley 2004-07-20 20:15:57 UTC
It may no longer be current, as it was reported about 12 months ago. As I don't currently have any KDE/QT applications (I moved over to Evolution and fluxbox some time ago) installed I can't check.

From memory:
If I contact receives and email in HTML there is a red box that appears at the top of the email with a link to parse the HTML. If they inline-forward this email to me, again including additional HTML information in the mail I would get a red box at the top with the link, and another at the top of the inline attachment. Clicking the link in any of the boxes would parse the HTML in all emails, whereas it should (IMO) only show the one that the link relates to.

Hope this information helps,
Tom

Is this bug still present in a recent KDE version, such as 3.5.9 or 4.1 trunk?
Comment 6 George Kiagiadakis 2008-09-01 17:55:31 UTC
Yes, it is clearly reproducable by opening the attachment in comment 4 using kmail. I think it's a minor issue, though. Tested with kmail from KDE 4.1.0.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
