Description ieure 2003-04-19 00:48:21 UTC
Version: 0.6.1a (using KDE 3.1.1)
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.4 20011002 (Debian prerelease)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-phaktory

When I launch Kopete, a "User Goes Online" event is generated for every online user in my Roster nearly simultaneously. This results in 5 or more sounds being played at the same time, resulting in an /extremely/ loud cacophony when I start Jabber - N times the (reasonable) regular volume for that sound, where N is equal to the number of people on my Roster who are online when I connect.

Possible solutions:

* Allow only N events of the same type to play at the same time
* Have a "Logged in" or "Authenticated" sound which plays when connecting to an IM service, and don't generate a "user online" sound for N seconds after connect.
* Don't trigger a sound for an event unless it happened at least N seconds ago.
