Description Maurizio Colucci 2003-04-13 13:19:06 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.1)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

I recall that in previous versions of kde, when I pressed ALT+TAB, and the focus was on a konsole instance, KDE showed me the current directory and user for that konsole. For example

 root@/usr/local/doc/

Now, I've noticed that when I press ALT+TAB, the name of the directory
is not shown anymore. How am I supposed to choose the right konsole?

Rationale:
I use to keep many konsoles open, each one in a different directory,
and I use to switch between them with ALT+TAB. THey are somewhat like
a cache, which spares me from typing cd /a/very/long/path each time.

Can't confirm this behavior here using ArkLinux alpha7 (using KDE 3.1.1). The path
appears correctly in the titlebar and thus also in the Alt+Tab list.

konsole never did that by itself. You need to set the PS1 in bash
to contain an echo sequence (check the Tips of konsole)
