Version: 3.0.5 (using KDE KDE 3.0.5)
Installed from: RedHat RPMs

The left side buttons of Konqueror FM are nice but not usefull.
It is easyer for a user to see everything together in one tree: Home, Removabel media, Network, control center, and all file systems. This is how MS set a standard and new Linux users expect for it.

It looks like Xandros Linux desktop got the point. This is how Konqueror should look like:

Konq sidebar allows you to have non-tree content. See for example the sidebar
meta info or media player modules.

This is still unintitutive, should we stick dishwshers in with our car stereos? Please Konqeuror team, fix this mess!!! The problem with Konqeuror is not its zillion toolbar buttons as so many think, the sidebar is the problem.

Take the history sidebar for example..I couldn't figure out Knqoeuror as a WEB BROWSER had one until I read a post ironically complaining about it.

I too wish we could go back to a tree-only Kfm, such as:
