Description Timo St 2003-02-11 01:06:58 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

As the subject says I really would appreciate a filter for unknown dates. I get a lot of spam which uses a unset send-date, so kmail writes for send-date unknown. If your mails are ordered ascending by date (I think this is the default config of outlook express) these emails will be the first you see. I think this is the wanted action, but I ordered my mails descending (harharhar *evilgrininmyface*). But when I get such a mail I have to go to the bottom of my mail folder and delete it. It would be nice to have a filter to delete mails with unknown send-date, because they are 100%-spam.

Did you try if filtering for the age does work? I.e. try if those
messages match <age in days> "is greater than" 36525. If this doesn't
work then try if they match <age in days> "is less than" 0. Please tell
us whether it works or not.

I am new to kmail, and are trying to get a good spam-filter going. I have bogofilter turned on. I get several mails with unknown sender, no title and unknown date (in the same mail). This should be easy to recognize as spam. A filter option "is unknown" would do the trick. I haven't tried anything else than classify them as spam. I see this is a very old bug though, is there a fix for this by now? Using Kubuntu and Kmail 1.9.6

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
