Description Richard Neill 2002-12-31 02:38:29 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.0.3)
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs
OS: Linux

To make it easier to track which of several sessions is which, how about making the shell icons on the bottom-left different colours?

I'd like the colours to be *automatically* assigned in sequence when each new shell is opened. This would make it far easier to keep track visually of what's happening.

Of course, this should be a pref in the konsole configuration.

Thank you.

As requested by email, I'm confirming that this is still a wish. It would make the "pelamanism" easier when dealing with multiple tabs in konqueror.

Of course, it isn't nearly such a problem if the icons are replaced by text, and there's a PROMPT_COMMAND in .bashrc

I'm now using KDE 3.2

Changing the icon colors would have to be done dynamically. Even if possible, this would be a load on the CPU. I doubt I would even apply the code.

On the other hand, I have implemented allowing the user to change the tab text color. Although not complete yet.
