Version: 3.1rc3 (using KDE KDE 3.0.99)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc-3.1
OS: Linux

Have to admit that I've become pretty addicted to kolf. Just swapped out my antique Rage 128 card for a slightly less antique Radeon 7500, and some of the colors (particularly the water) in kolf come out wrong in 24-bit color mode (haven't tried it with 16-bit). I haven't noticed this with other KDE programs, nor with OpenGL programs (or anything else, including mplayer). KDE-3.1rc3, glibc-2.2.5, XF86-4.2.1, Linux-2.4.20, gcc-3.1.1. Not a big deal, just thought I'd mention it.

I've noticed this too, but it is not strictly a Kolf issue. Try, for example, selecting icons on your desktop. The highlighted icons are in strange colors.

I have a Dell Latitude D600 laptop, which has a Radeon 900 Mobility video card. It seems there is something wrong with KDE/Radeon driver interaction.

I put this here so that the Kolf maintainers can decide who to reassign to, since it is not a Kolf issue.

This should be fixed with latter kdelibs, I am guessing

Can you guys still reproduce that?

No feedback... Will reopen in case of new info

I made "Additional Comment #2" above. Since then I've gotten a new laptop, a new GNU/Linux distribution (Kubuntu), and a newer version of KDE (3.4.3).

I no longer have strange color issues with desktop icons as I mentioned in my previous comment. However, I continue to have strange color issues with Kolf. For example, when I aim my putter and the aiming line sweeps across a sand trap, the sand trap flickers between the proper sandy color and the green grassy color. Similar things happen with water.

Please let me know if there's anything else I can do to help resolve this issue.
