In a two-head xinerama configuration with kicker at the bottom of the left screen the right button for scrolling away the panel doesn't work. It works on the right screen and it works with kicker in vertical mode.
Essentially the hide button doesn't work when it's not at the side of the logical screen
(checked by trying the left hide button which shows the same behaviour with screen's roles swapped).

I believe this is by design.
