(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: konsole
Version: KDE 3.0.7
Severity: crash
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: GCC 3.2
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: kernel 2.4.19

If I hit Ctrl-Enter after a line in Konsole it will sometimes do lots of (disk) activity and make the system (incl mouse) really slow. When it finally finishes (system too slow to kill it) the shell tab disappears from the Konsole window. It seems to cache the results of whatever it does because I can't recreate it a second time (perhaps until I relogin or the system decides it's not worth caching anymore?).
It has happened before but only now am I nearly sure it's the accidental Ctrl-Enter (after `su -c "make install"') that's causing it.

Any evidence that it's the fault of Konsole and not your of your shell?

Likely a shell problem.
