(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: i18n
Version: KDE 3.0.7 CVS/CVSup/Snapshot
Severity: normal
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: egcs-2.96
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

In Koffice applications toolbars is configured in menuitems like 'show/hide NNN toolbar'. But on English and Russian language menu item for toolbar showing is more usable to define as 'show/hide toolbar' and followed toolbar specific name. For example "Show/hide toolbar Format". In this choise user see toolbar name after recurring standart text portion and turns his attention only on end of text.

Please swop '<name of toolbar>' and 'toolbar'.

Sorry, can't swap them as that would break other languages.

i18n policy for hiding/showing toolbar in menu is incorrect. Optimal way is make solid
phrases for each toolbar option. This will be more correct of i18n on any language.

Another way to exclude toolbar names to separate submenu.

As this is a KOffice problem, moving it to KOffice.

Have a nice day!

I am having trouble understanding the problem. Can you explain it to me again?

In kpresenter and kword, I RMB on the toolbar, and I see "Show Toolbar" or "Hide Toolbar". Is there an application that you can show is causing the problem?

About a year ago Brad asked for more information and didn't get it... I'm closing this now.
