Package: kwin
Version: KDE 3.0.6 CVS/CVSup/Snapshot
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: 2.95-2
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

I just ask if we can't have the same placement as golem (http://golem.sf.net):

When you launch a new app it try to do a normal smart placement. but instead of place it it wait for the user.
- if you don't move the mouse in 1 sec the windows is placed where it should be w/ smart placement.

- if the user move the mouse the mouse is grab by the window and you can place it by hand.
stop moving will place it where you leave the mouse.

I patched golem to have the smart placement to work on the current head (i use xinerama) and this placement is really great cause you don't
have to place all windows (gkrellm for example). . but if you don't think the smart placement choose a good place you can change it without going to the windows bar and move it.
