*** Bug 45123 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 62284 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Reproducible in cvs. Reproducible with 1.6.2 ... and with HEAD. Still reproduceable in KMail 1.8.2 ... and in KMail 1.9.1 (KDE 3.5) Still present in KMail 1.9.1 (KDE 3.5.1) *** Bug 153156 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Bug 153156 has a mail attached which triggers the problem. Confirmed with 1.9.8 btw. wow is anyone even working on this? this has been here for 5 years, it's a serious problem, I shouldn't have to check to see if my emails fully rendered every time. Not a problem with trunk (i.e. KDE4), if it's any consolation. The fundamental problem here is the use of QCString, which doesn't work properly with embedded nulls, in KMMessagePart::bodyDecoded() and everything that uses the results. This has been fixed in trunk by using QByteArray instead (commit 633872), but this is an extensive change involving >20 source files. Suggest this bug is closed as a WONTFIX (for 3.5) unless someone is willing to do the backport. >Suggest this bug is closed as a WONTFIX (for 3.5) unless someone is willing to do the backport.
I think so too, couldn't reproduce it with KDE4 either.
